Pool Rules
The following are the
rules and regulation governing the use of Darlington Ridge
Condominium Association’s pool facilities. These rules /
guidelines have been developed to ensure the safety and
enjoyment of all residents utilizing the pool. The association
and the lifeguards on duty will strictly enforce these rules and
regulations. Failure to abide may result in the revocation in
your pool badges.
- Pool will be open on
the following dates:
Daily from 5/24 to 9/7 (Labor Day) from 10 AM to 8 PM
- Pool Badges are
available to all residents who are current in their account
status. You must be a member in good standing in order to
register for the 2009 pool season. This includes maintenance
fees, late fees, fines, etc.
- All owners,
residents and guests must have a valid 2009 pool badge and
must sign in upon entering the pool area and sign out when
exiting the pool area. White badges are for adult residents,
green are for resident children under 13 years and blue
badges are for guests.
- No one will be
permitted in the pool area without a valid badge. Lost
badges will be replaced for a $35.00 fee per badge. This
includes lost guest badges.
- Pool badges must be
worn on your person and be visible, to the lifeguard, at all
times. The badges may either be worn on your wrist (using a
wristband provided by the association at time of
registration) or be attached to your bathing suit. You may
not attach your pool badge to your towel or pool bag.
- Children 13 and
under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all
times, while in the pool area. Parents are responsible for
the safety of their children.
- No running or
jumping within the pool area.
- No diving, pushing,
wrestling, “horseplay” or splashing is allowed in the pool.
- Smoking, picnicking
and consuming alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited
within the pool area.
- No balls, toys or
floatation devices are permitted in the pool.
- Lifejackets and
floatation devices are permitted in the pool for safety
purposes only for children that are unable to swim.
- No glass of any kind
is permitted in the pool area. You are expected to clean up
and dispose of all trash properly.
- No private parties
are permitted in the pool area.
- Pets are prohibited
in the pool area.
- Swimming or being in
the pool is prohibited unless a lifeguard is on duty.
- Any person wishing
to utilize the association’s pool for the purpose of
exercise may do so during the first 15 minutes of each hour.
During this time those wishing to swim laps may utilize the
pool to do so.
- Reserving of chairs
or lounges is prohibited. Chairs and lounges are available
on a first come, first serve basis.
- Any person showing
evidence of skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal
or ear discharge or any communicable disease shall be denied
admission.
- Any person with
excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts, or bandages shall be
denied admission.
- All children in
diapers must wear plastic pants or swim diapers with snug
fitting elastic waist and leg bands.
- Children should be
encouraged to use the restrooms before entering the water.
Immediately report any “accidents” you observe in the
bathing waters to a lifeguard.
- All owners, resident
and guest are expected to conduct themselves in a proper
manner while in the pool area. Behavior or activities
capable of creating dangerous conditions or annoyances are
prohibited within the pool area. Loud playing of radios is
included in this category. The definition of “loud” is at
the discretion of the lifeguard.
- In case of an
electrical storm or other severe weather, the pool will
automatically close.
- Persons suspected of
being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be
prohibited from entering the water.
- Guest wristbands are
available for $5.00 per day. Fees are to be charged to
homeowner’s monthly maintenance account. All guests must be
accompanied by a homeowner or resident and must follow all
association rules and regulations.
- Appropriate swimming
apparel is required in the pool at all times. Anyone wearing
another type of clothing, including cutoffs, will not be
permitted in the pool.
- All persons using
the pool facilities do so at their own risk. The Condominium
Association assumes no responsibilities, direct or indirect,
for any personal injury or loss, including damage to
personal property within the pool area. Homeowners are
responsible for the actions of their tenants
- The Rules and
Regulations of the Department of Health and other related
Government agencies having jurisdiction will be considered a
part of these rules and regulations.
- The pool lifeguard
staff will be in full charge and will enforce all rules and
regulations. Any infraction of the rules and regulations
will be considered a cause for suspension or revocation of
all pool privileges.
- The lifeguard may
expel any person acting in an unsafe or objectionable
manner. Decisions made by the lifeguard are final.
Infractions of these
rules and regulations will be reported to Darlington Ridge
Condominium Association’s management office by the lifeguards
and the association’s property manager will then take
appropriate action. |
